Redux Robotics will be implementing a tariff surcharge on products starting on June 1, 2025. This surcharge will not apply to non-US customers.
Tariff Surcharges
Starting on May 1, 130-160% tariffs have been applied to items shipping from China to the United States. As a company based in the US that sources parts from China, Redux Robotics has been impacted by these tariffs. These represent a significant cost increase to us, which unfortunately will translate to increases in prices to you, the customer.
We have decided that, due to the rapid rate that these tariffs are fluctuating and changing, instead of just raising the price, we will be implementing these as a tariff surcharge applied to the product. This allows us a little more flexibility with the pricing, as well as remaining fair to international teams who will be affected by US decisions. These changes will start on June 1, 2025, and will be updated regularly as the tariff situation changes.
The planned surcharges are listed below
- Helium Canandmag: $5 surcharge
- Boron Canandgyro: $5 surcharge
- Phosphorus Canandcolor: $10 surcharge
- Locking USB-C to USB-C cable: $4 surcharge
- Throughbore Upgrade Kit: $2.5 surcharge
- Zinc-V: See Below*
*The Zinc-V regulator will not have its price increased. Instead, it will be replaced with Zinc-V Plus in an upcoming release, which will be priced at $25, with a higher continuous current capacity.
Canadian/International Teams
In order to provide an equitable experience to international teams, Redux Robotics is working on opening space in a secondary location in Canada. This warehouse space is being trialed, and in the coming months, will be made part of our regular logistics network. This warehouse will only serve Canadian and International teams, allowing for our products to be purchased directly, without the US tariff surcharge. Additionally, this will open up expedited shipping to Canadian teams, with low cost overnight shipping options to teams in the Greater Toronto Area.
